Depending on the kind, blueberries grow on low or tall, erect bushes. The little round berries can have a diameter of 5 to 16 millimetres. They start out green, but as they ripen, they turn a vivid shade of dusty blue. The bloom, a delicate, hazy white coating that forms on the skin's surface, is a natural waterproofing that protects the berries from the sun and other natural elements.
