Mohammed Abdullah Sharbatly Co. Ltd originates from a commercial activity established in the early ’30s by Al Sayed Abdullah Abbas Sharbatly.
The Sharbatly have been a family of merchants for a very long time. They initially catered for the pilgrims visiting the holy sites of Mecca and Medina. Jeddah became the main port of arrival for the pilgrims in 647 AD . Several Jeddah guide books, when describing the landmarks of the ancient city, indicate that “the most interesting is Sharbatly House, the ancient mansion of a prominent merchant family”.

While providing fresh produce is at our core, we have other business lines that are complementary.
We operate through more than 13 refrigerated distribution centres in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. Thanks to this extensive network, we can deliver fresh fruit and veg to most of the GCC region. Our quality control department performs multiple tests every shipment we receive or dispatch.
M.A. Sharbatly ripens, on a daily basis, more than 50 000 cartons of bananas which are by far our main product in terms of volumes
Our trucking arm, "Arabian transportation Co. ltd", moves products from the ports to the storing, ripening and packing facilities and finally to the distribution centres within a few hours.
M.A. Sharbatly developed a strong logistic capability throughout the years, and it is now offering ocean freight, customs clearance, container yard, last-mile delivery and cold storage services.
Today, among the 3PL customers, there are prominent brands from the pharmaceutical industry and foodstuff.
In recent years M.A. Sharbatly added a new business line introducing Montana mineral waterin Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Leveraging the company's logistic capabilities and new technologies, Montana has quickly become the most consumed mineral water in Saudi Arabia, overtaking famous brands.
M. A. Sharbatly not only distributes but also owns the brand. Montana mineral water will pave the road to future expansions in the beverage industry.
